In view of Moharram processions to be taken out, Lucknow Cantt Police officials are on “active” mode. The police have beefed up security measures. On Thursday they patrolled the Cantt and adjoining areas under SSI Cantt SP Pandey and Sadar SI Shivendra Kumar.
The Moharram processions would be taken out amidst heavy police deployment and major traffic diversions would be enforced for it.
Sadar SI Shivendra Kumar said the city police are fully devoted to conduct all the processions peacefully. He said with Corona pandemic also making its presence felt, our focus is on ensuring that there is no discomfort to anyone.
Shivendra Kumar added that the police would remain all along the procession route and troublemakers would be provided no chance to cause any nuisance.
