US Slams China, Take Side Of India

US secretary of state Mike Pompeo has announced in media that China has moved up its forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India and has made “continued efforts” to expand militarily in plenty of locations.

It is worthwhile pointing out that earlier this month, China had moved huge number of its troops to four points in Ladakh sector’s Galwan Valley and Pangong Tso area. Plenty of experts are of the opinion that it was the biggest battle between the two countries after the Doklam episode in 2017.

That was in an apparent attempt to browbeat the Indian side to stop border construction project.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army rejected a video purportedly highlighting a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in eastern Ladakh describing it as “malafide.”

The two-and-a-half-minute video ostensibly depicts a brawl between Indian and Chinese troops on the banks of the Pangong lake.

The top US official are of the view that the United States has a responsibility to ensure that the American people are properly served by foreign policy that recognizes the threats that emanate from China today.

Pompeo, reacting to a query, said that the recent Chinese actions on the Indian border have been part of the Chinese behaviour in the recent past.
